Daphne (brown and white) & Delilah (hairier grey one) are both rescues from the Donkey sanctuary in Sidmouth. They have been with us since 2014, moving down from Essex in 2018. They are still quite young (Donkeys live up to around 60 years), estimated to have been born in 2012. Both are very friendly, gentle and love attention. They are very inquisitive and you’ll find two noses over your wall if you are outside! Feel free to pet them or go into the field with them but, as with any animal, please be careful around them and avoid approaching from behind or quick movements / loud noises which may spook them. Both adore the odd carrot, apple and their absolute favourite things are ginger biscuits, but please, not too much and mind fingers! They get very territorial with regards to dogs, so please keep pets out of their field.
Come and meet our Tamworth pigs, mischievous and playful they love nothing more than a tummy tickle!
A lovely farmhouse on a working farm. We were greeted by animals each morning which was delightful. Andy and Sam were helpful and friendly and always responsive to our messages.
We couldn’t be happier with our stay! What an amazing place! We've stayed in lots of properties & this has blown everything else out of the water by... read more a country mile! The cottage is clean, VERY big (pictures don’t do it justice) & has everything you could ever wish to lay your hands on. The whole plot is breath-taking; we had donkeys, sheep & horses at the wall in the garden, which the kids loved. The farm is silent, with views of rolling fields & endless places to walk. It is so remote you rarely see any vehicles even when walking on the country roads in the surrounding area! You can safely let your kids & dog run freely around the outside of the cottage with no fear of vehicles (it’s a dead-end road). Every morning Andy feeds the animals where guests are welcomed to help. We collected the chickens’ eggs & ate them for breakfast. You can pre-order bacon, eggs, sausages & a range of other food for your arrival. All of which is from the animals reared on this farm.
