We also have a large utility room with washing machine, ironing board, highchair & downstairs shower, ideal after a long day out at the beach or moors if muddy. If you have little one’s we have a highchair stored in this room.

The Games room handy for a wet day! Is adjacent to the property and features a full size table tennis table, sofa to relax on and a dartboard.
Please feel free to roam around the surrounding countryside, the barn is set in 17 acres and we welcome guests and their dogs to explore. We also encourage our guests to interact with our resident animals, all of whom love attention – let us know if you or little ones would like to help with feeding or grooming.
We are Dog Friendly! Being situated in one of North Devon’s finest rural and coastal areas, our cottage is popular with those who enjoy walking holidays and who wish to bring a four legged friend. What could be better than starting each day of your holiday with a dash down to the bottom field and a splash about in the river?
We have a dog ourselves and we want you and your dog/s to have as much fun on holiday as we have with our own. It’s time for them to get uninterrupted time with you and at the same time enjoy all that the moorland and coast has to offer.
We know where most of the dog-friendly beaches are so ask us when you get here and we’ll point you in the right direction. One of our favourites is Saunton Sands which is a haven for dogs and where you’re sure to meet a lot of four legged friends!
Most of Devon’s open spaces are dog friendly and there are lots of places to walk dogs. We are equal distance between the moors and the north coast – all offer a huge variety of stunning walks for you and your dog. The majority of shops, pubs and holiday attractions also welcome dogs.
If you have a larger group that would like to stay with us at Lower Whitsleigh Farm, why not hire out both the cottage and the glamping lodge? We can also allow for additional tents to be pitched on the fields should you require it.

The light, open kitchen area and courtyard are such lovely, social spaces. The location is peaceful and beautiful. The highlight, however, is the neighbours — meaning, of course, Joe and Ferdy (Horses), Roy, Dave, Daphne and Delilah (Donkeys). Seeing their sweet faces peering into the courtyard each morning was a delight. Feeding and meeting all the animals with Andy will be a special memory for our 2 year old granddaughter, and us all! It was wonderful to see such happy, and well cared for animals. Thank you again Sam and Andy! We would love to return.

Apart from the farm there is so much to see around, like small villages, waterfalls by the sea.

Truly amazing experience, definitely will be back.
